Lithuanian company Acorus Calamus, established in 1995, specializing in medicinal herbs – single and blended, capsulated herbal products, as well as tea production, continues the traditions of natural medicine. A modern factory using the extensive experience of natural medicine and applying up-to-date technologies produces over 100 kinds of high quality medicinal herbal products. These herbs are well known and valued not only in Lithuania but all over the world. Herbal products are produced mainuly from organic plants. Most of medicinal plants used in manufacture are grown in organic farms, the number of which now rapidly increases in Lithuania. Favorable environmental conditions in Lithuania encourage the rapid growth of organic farms that are able to ensure high quality organic raw material, which meets the required standards.

In September, 2004 the company has been accredited with the licence for manufacturing of medicinal products in accordance with the requirements of Part IV of the European Union Directive 2001/83/EC (GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE). Now the company meets all the requirements applied for pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises of the Eurpean Union.
